A Little Relief.

I have been moved to tears periodically through the day today thinking about the last combat troops moving out of Iraq. Although it is not as monumental as the announcement we were invading Iraq and things are certainly not over, it does bring me some sense of relief that we are near the end. Just to know that those men, women, and mostly boys will no longer be in the midst of grave danger makes me feel joy. It has been so long since we’ve gotten good news in this country. It feels nice to have something to look forward to.
